Invisible Dogs

For those of you who were asking at dinner last night: “What was up with all the people walking invisible dogs in Carroll Gardens today?”

It was an Improv Everywhere mission.

If the mission is to make people seek an explanation… it worked. But I didn’t think it was that funny. I kind of figured it was public theater or even… Improv Everywhere – but I ruled that out because it wasn’t choreographed or funny.

But I really wanted to know the reason. And I didn’t want to ask anyone (since I figured they wanted me to and I’d show them). I even looked it up on Twitter. All I found was a tweet from someone else in Boerum Hill using the keyword “invisible dog.” This is the only tweet returned:

@BK_Hicham: Anyone else see a lot of people with those novelty wire leashes like you’re walking an invisible dog?
